MAGNA WATER DISTRICT
BOARD OF TRUSTEES 2026 ELECTION
The Magna Water District will hold its Board of Trustees Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, for two Trustee positions.
To be eligible to run for a seat on the Board, candidates must satisfy the following requirements:
(1) be a United States citizen; and
(2) be a registered voter at the location of the candidate’s residence, which must be within the District’s boundaries.
Candidates who work full-time or part-time for the District, whether as employees or under contract, must resign from their employment with the District if elected to the Board of Trustees pursuant to Utah Code § 17B-1-311.
Eligible candidates running for election to the Board must appear in person to file a Declaration of Candidacy form with the District during the District’s normal office hours from 7:30 am until 5:30 pm on June 1 – June 4 and June 8, 2026. Such candidates must satisfy the above conditions when they file their Declaration of Candidacy form.
Candidates must also submit a completed Conflict of Interest Disclosure Statement with the District when filing their Declaration of Candidacy form. This is a new requirement the Legislature enacted in 2025 under Utah Code §17B-1-306.1. As a result of this new law, the District CANNOT ACCEPT a Declaration of Candidacy form without a complete Conflict of Interest Disclosure Statement. Copies of these forms and Declaration of Candidacy forms are available here.
